He was predeceased by: his grandmother Allison Scheerer; and his great-grandparents, Phil Favia and Richard Heridia. He is survived by: his parents, Anthony Siuda and Amber Siuda; his brother Destin Newlon; his grandparents, Ricky Scheerer, Doriann, Dave Wiegand, Steven Siuda, Evonne and Edwin Hernandez; and his great-grandparents, Priscilla, George Tamlin and Judith Heridia. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to Michigan City High School (memo line- Swim Team) in Malakai's name.
