She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Melton and Edith Melton (Harris); her son Jerome Eugene Wallace; her former husbands, Theodore J. Wallace and Porter Young; and her siblings, Marian Long, Vivian Kepplin and Richard Goin.
She is survived by: her daughter Denise Kampersal (Wallace) of DeMotte; her granddaughters, Tiffany Kampersal of Michigan City and Samantha Kampersal of DeMotte; and her brother Robert Goin of Michigan City.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 10th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Newhard Funeral Home (58 Walnut St, Westville, IN 46391). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 at the Pinhook Cemetery (8001 IN-2, La Porte, IN 46350).
