He was predeceased by: his parents, Bolivar Alvarado and Rosa Maria Alvarado (Rodriguez); and his siblings, Sonia Alvarado and Juan Alvarado. He is survived by: his wife Eneida Guzman of Michigan City, IN; his children, Eneida Morris (Floyd) of Stevensville, MI, Belinda Alvarado of Michigan City, IN and Nelson Alvarado, Jr. (Crystal) of Michigan City, IN; his grandchildren, Dana Malkowski, Brandon Malkowski and Brooklyn Alvardo; and his great grandchildren, Alonzo, Diego, Liliana and Xiomara.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and at 4:00 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Queen of All Saints Catholic Church (606 S Woodland Ave, Michigan City, IN 46360).
