She was predeceased by: her parents, Horace Howard and Lillie Mae Howard (Morgan); her significant other Clois Jean Blalack; her son-in-law Mac Thurman; and her siblings, Meg Howard, Ann Colvin, Ken Howard, H. M. Howard and Bill Howard.
She is survived by: her daughters, Deborah Gann (Jerry), Karen Schroeder (Steve), Leann Thurman and Laura Rushinsky (Michael); and her siblings, Carol Coslet, Sue Brown and Glen Howard. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Evergreen Baptist Church.
