It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ophelia Jones of Michigan City, Indiana, born in Manchester, Tennessee, who passed away on May 2, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Billy L. Jones; her sons, Billy David Gibson and Gary Lee Jones; her grandsons, Jeffery Gibson and Jonathan Jones; and her brothers, Burrell Lightburne and Autry Ferrell.
She is survived by: her children, Justin Wayne Gibson, Juanell Vega (Jose) and Elaine Flitter (Dennis); her grandchildren, Brian Gibson, Megan Campbell, Kyle Gibson, Jonathan Gibson, Jimmy Mayfield, Mark Vega, Lainie Billedeaux, Cheryl Novitzke, Matthew Jacks, Sandy Taylor and Jenny Jones; her brother Gary Ferrell; and her sister-in-law Christina Ferrell. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren.
