She was predeceased by: her parents, Norman Walters and Laura Walters (Pierson); her daughter Shawna Coursel; and her siblings, Mike Walters, Becky Moffitt, Donna Biggerstaff and Jackie Tyler.
She is survived by: her children, Shane Coursel of La Porte and Joann Coursel of Michigan City, Indiana; her stepchildren, Rigoberto Ramos, Jr. of Valparaiso, Amanda Ramos of Michigan City, Jennie Ramos of Michigan City and Maria Mendez of Westville, Indiana; her grandchildren, Robert Coursel, Zachary O'Neal, Brienna Comer, Kendel Coursel and Cameron Coursel; and her great grandchildren, Sienna McGinness and Henry Comer.
