He was predeceased by: his parents, James Marvin Sr. and Ella Loretta Hilligoss (Harney); his sister Connie Boozier; and his great grandchild Henry Weipert. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Hilligoss; his children, Sherri Otto (Steven) and James Hilligoss 3rd; his grandchildren, Casey Fulks (Gary), Jessica Weipert (Noah), Dorian Ray and Melissa Brooke Hilligoss; his great grandchildren, Raelynn Poe and Addilyn Fulks; and his siblings, Cindy Howell and Larry Hilligoss. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Ballard and Sons Funeral Home and Cremation Services- Middletown (118 S 5th St, Middletown, IN 47356). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
