He is survived by: his wife Lori Lionberger; his children, Kaitlin Hendershot of Mishawaka, Alexander Hendershot (Molly) of Mishawaka, Samuel Hendershot (Abigail) of Mishawaka and Madelyn Hendershot of Mishawaka; and his siblings, Sherri Hendershot of Valparaiso and Gregg Hendershot (Angela) of Sarasota.

In his memory, donations may be given to the Samantha Hickey Memorial Foundation to help local pediatric cancer patients.
