He was predeceased by : his parents, Roy D. Johnston and Emma Johnston (Bowers); his wife Charlotte M. Kees; his siblings, Roy Jr., Joseph D., Frederick W., Ralph R., Robert, David E. Johnston, Mary Ellen Bowman, Catherine G. Marquardt and Mildred J. Ternet; and his daughter-in-law Leisa Johnston.
He is survived by : his sons, Ricky L. Johnston (Charlene) of New Haven and Kevin P. Johnston (Carrie) of Columbia City, Indiana; his siblings, Delores P. Shaffer of Bryan, Ohio and Harry Johnston (Mary) of Fort Wayne, Indiana; his grandchildren, Sharri Johnston, Tammi McCann, Nathan Johnston and Jeremy Johnston (Cori); his great grandchildren, Sabrina Johnston, Jordan Johnston, Austin Johnson, Leah McCann, Madison Johnston and Mackenzie Johnston; and his great great grandchild Baylee Jean Johnston.
Due to guidelines established by the State of Indiana in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we will be allowing up to 25 people in the funeral home at a time.
