She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilbert White and Virginia White (Atkins); her husband James L. Houk; her siblings, Billy White, Margaret Carter and Tom White; and her granddaughter Mandy Taylor.
She is survived by: her children, Tim Houk (Jennifer) of Martinsville, Becky Brown of Monrovia, Melissa "Missy" Houk of Monrovia, Mike "Hulio" Houk (Denise) of Florida and Silver White of Mooresville; and her grandchildren, Nick, Vanessa, Jenny, Tiffany, Misty, Brandy, Chrissy, Samantha, Adam and Chelsi. She is also survived by sixteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Due to current county and state COVID-19 guidelines, public gatherings have been limited to contain no more than 50 people.
