He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl C. Elam and Lizzie Elam (Watson); and his siblings, Norman Elam, Patricia Elam Hayden and David Earl Elam.
He is survived by: his wife Ann M. Elam (Thompson); and his children, Cynthia Elam of Monticello, KY., Shane Elam of Montpelier, IN., Latisha Marshall of Montpelier, IN. and Stephanie Cook of Montpelier, IN.. He is also survived by 10 Grandchildren, and 13 Great Grandchildren.
