He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Burton and Helen L. Burton (Hollingsworth); his wife Linda Burton (Boren); and his daughter Christal Davis. He is survived by: his daughters, Jennie Buchanan (Steve) of Mooresville and Marla McNeely (David) of Dallas, NC; his close friend Mable Lewis of Mooresville; and his grandchildren, Shawn Gilley (Dustin), Jason Stowers, Tiffany Inglert (Jason), John Stowers (Hannah), Myke Buchanan, Richard Davis and Russell Davis. He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Carlisle - Branson Funeral Service & Crematory (39 E High St, Mooresville, IN 46158). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Walnut Grove Cemetery - Clinton (1500 N Main St, Clinton, IN 47842).
