She was loved and cherished by many people including: her son Gerald; her daughter-in-law Nancy; her grandchildren, Melissa Murphy and Roger Hanas; her great grandchildren, Donovan and Preston Murphy; her husband Henry J. Hanas; and her parents, James Stickland and Frida Stickland.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be sent to VNA Hospice of Valparaiso.
