It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard James Doherty (Munster, Indiana), born in Chelsea, Massachusetts, who passed away on August 26, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Doherty and Marguerite Doherty; his siblings, Leo Doherty (late Margaret), Jack Doherty, Alice Doherty and Marguerite "June" Russo (late Charles); and his brothers-in-law, John Browne (Patricia) and Cornelius Browne (Marie).
He is survived by: his wife Nora; his son John (Susan) of Munster; his grandchildren, Patrick Doherty, Michael Doherty and Maureen Doherty; his sister Jean Bruno (late Gerry) of Wilmington, MA; and his siblings-in-law, Henry Browne (late Beatrice) of Glounthaune, Ireland and Breeda O'Flynn (late Liam) of Fermoy, Ireland. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
