He is survived by: his children, Richard III (Denise), David (Marci) and Linda Erwin (Donald); his grandchildren, Richard IV (Ashlee), Michelle Kosovec (Matthew), Ian, Matthew and Sara; his great grandchild Richard; and his sister Nancy Mahnke (Robert).
