He is survived by: his wife Mary Kardes (Young); his daughter Katie Hargett (Kardes); his grandson Logan Alexander Hargett; and his sisters, Linda Williams (Kardes), Nancy Camfield (Kardes) and Patti Long (Kardes). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
