She was predeceased by: her husband George M. Hart Sr.; and her children, James Edward Raines and Michele Tamara Raines. She is survived by: her son Karl D. Raines; her grandchildren, Corbin James Raines of Indianapolis and Alyssa Marie Raines of Indianapolis; and her daughter-in-law Angela Raines Riley.

In lieu of flowers, Helein asked that donations be made to any women's shelter or animal shelter.
