He is survived by: his parent Hettie Atwood Sheckell; his children, Harold Sheckell (Vennie), Rita Byerley, Tammie Staser (Art), Pandora Lanham (David) and Deanna Woodruff (Eddie); and his siblings, Amuel Sheckell and Wanda Vetter. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren.
