With profound sadness, we say goodbye to George Edward Sanders Sr. (New Albany, Indiana), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. George Edward left this world on July 24, 2025 at the age of 80, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Inez Sanders and Cotton Sanders; and his brother Gene Sanders. He is survived by: his wife Viola Sanders; his children, Todd Sanders (Stephanie) and Kim Newman (Charlie); his siblings, Rick Sanders (Peggy), Joyce Eggers, Caroline Deering (Bill) and Mike Sanders (Kim); his pet Molly; and his sisters-in-law, Lena (Chuck), Deborah Daniel and Janice Houk (Paul). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 9:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Ln, New Albany, IN 47150). A burial will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at the Cave Hill Cemetery (701 Baxter Ave, Louisville, KY 40204).
