He was predeceased by : his former life partner Catherine. He is survived by : his wife Olive Bingham (Secrest); his stepchildren, Charlene Caufield (Michael) and Douglas Luther (Annette); his grandchildren, Patrick Caufield, Heather Benjamin (Jason), Amanda Forest and Eric Adams; his great grandchildren, Mercedes, Parker and Alex; and his granddaughter Chloe.

Visitation was held on Monday, May 6th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Ln, New Albany, IN 47150). A funeral service was held on Monday, May 6th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
