She was predeceased by: her parents, James McCarty and Elizabeth McCarty; her children, Ken Slone and Sandra Slone; and her sister Martha Holzworth.
She is survived by: her husband Don Slone; her children, Janet Streander (Tom Nichols) and Bob Slone; her grandchildren, Jonathon Streander and Cassie Slone; and her great grandchildren, Taylor Streander, Jackson Streander and Ziggy May.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Garr Funeral Home (7806 Hwy 311, Sellersburg, IN 47172). A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
The family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the Humane Society in honor of Mary Lou's love for animals.
