It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sharon Gale Mater (New Albany, Indiana), who passed away on November 15, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Bruce Hall Mater; and her great grandchildren, Gwynn and Marion. She is survived by: her children, Dr. Bruce Alan Mater (Betty), Lea Lynn Orberson (William), Susan Reed (Steve) and Amy Rutledge; her grandchildren, Ben Mater (Lindsey), Katie Brewer (Scott), Maddie Morris (Chris), Allie Wiles (Jeff), Nic Reed (Abby), Kelsi Reed and Sam Rutledge (Rachel); and her great grandchildren, Henley Mater, Gabriel Brewer, Michael Brewer, Raphael Brewer, David Rutledge, Noel Rutledge, Danielle Rutledge, Charlie Morris and Beverly Reed.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Sharon's memory to Grace Lutheran Church, New Albany, or to Southern Indiana Care Hospice.
