Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Jameson Allen McGrew of New Castle, Indiana, who passed away at the age of 95, on April 14, 2025. He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen W. McGrew and Emily McGrew (Jameson); his grandfather Jameson; his sister Jean Elizabeth Stoffregen (McGrew); and his wife Janet.
He is survived by: his children, Lindley C. (Laura McGrew) of Lewes, Allen J. (Heidi McGrew) of Beavercreek, Evan M. (Martha McGrew) of New Castle and Lydia Ann (Victor Head) of New Castle; his grandchildren, Daniel, Lauren McGrew-Hitzhusen, Amy (McGrew), Colin Wixsted, Rosemary Head, Michael McGrew, Lili Dalanika, Emily McGrew, Sam Weitekamp, Will McGrew, Amanda Mercado, Renzhi (McGrew), Dylan Clark, Andrew Head and Benjamin Head; and his great grandchildren, Catherine Moss, Parker Clark and Rosa McGrew. He is also survived by niece and three nephews, and their children and grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the New Castle First Friends Meeting (503 S Main St, New Castle, IN 47362). A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to New Castle First Friends Meeting, the Guyer Opera House, or the Jameson A. and Janet E. Johnson McGrew Scholarship Fund through the Henry County Community Foundation.
