He was predeceased by: his father Theodore Sr.; his siblings, Mary Gideon, Bonnie Gideon, Maggie Wolfe, Robert Gideon, Richard Gideon, Carl Gideon, Melvin Gideon, Dennis Gideon, Jerry Gideon and Donnie Gideon; and his close friend Dave Lindsay.
He is survived by: his daughter Connie Norman; his grandchildren, Kyle, Lyndsea and MacKyndsea; his children, Kevin Gideon of Modoc, Kelley Guffey (Josh) of Losantville and Karol Burke (Jeff) of Modoc; his grandchildren, Lance Gideon (Amber) of Mooresville, Myranda Gideon of Modoc, Lucas Gideon of Losantville, David Reece (Kaitlyn Godsey) of Modoc, Joe Guffey of Losantville and Gabe Guffey of Losantville; and his brother Tom Gideon (Linda) of Spiceland. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
