She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Dillard and Fleetie Mary Dishman (Piercy); her brother James Dishman; her sister-in-law Lily Dishman; her sister Margaret Woolums; and her brother-in-law John Woolums.

She is survived by: her children, Vincent Whittle (Jo) of Lafayette, Robert Whittle (Connie) of Lewisville, Gary Whittle (Laura) of New Castle, Vanessa Heppeard (James) of Cincinnati, Roger Whittle of Spiceland, Ronnie Whittle (Ingrid) of Lafayette and David Whittle (Wilma) of Rossville. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.
