He was predeceased by: his parents, Pearlie Swain and James Swain Sr.; and his siblings, Charles Swain, Dorothy Wormley and Vanessa Badgett (Swain).
He is survived by: his wife Connie Swain; his sister Lucille Swain of Toledo, OH; his daughters, Shelly Swain and Stephanie Reese (Swain) of Fort Wayne; his uncle Isaac Stephens; his grandchildren, Brittany Russell, Coleton Miller and Zayde Reese; his great grandchild Madison Henry; and his close friend Betty Pennington.
