She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Martin and Theresa Martin (Urbine). She is survived by: her husband Steven "Mike" Ladig; her siblings, Carol Schaefer (Vince), Nancy Becker, Michael Martin and Thomas Martin (Denise); and her mother-in-law Phyllis Ladig. She is also survived by three stepchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preferred memorials are to the League for the Blind.
