She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Kummer and Adele Kummer (Wieger); her husband Virgil C. Bender; her siblings, Victor, William, Raymond, Madonna Rich and Helen Sayler; and her children, Patrick Leo Bender and Jodele Marie Bender.

She is survived by: her daughters, Jane Mosby of Evansville and Mary Saltzman of Tampa; her granddaughter Johnna Marie Mosby; her great grandchild Karter Shawn Barnett; and her sister Betty O'Brien of Omaha, NE..
