He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyndon Sims and Pansy Sims (Harmon); and his sister Linda Lou Curtis (Charles). He is survived by: his wife Beverly Sims (Brown); his children, Brian Sims of Riverside, CA and Jodi Webb (Nick) of Carmel, IN; his stepdaughters, Lorie Bancroft (Don) of Warrenton, MO and Cherish Slifer (Matt) of Newburgh, IN; his grandchildren, Katie (Carlton Webb), Jacie, Jocilyn (Jadan Manion), Ian (Anessa) and Chase (Ashton Roeder); his great grandchildren, Layla Manion and Freyja Roeder; his mother-in-law Patricia Thomas; and his brother Gregg Sims (Alice). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
