He was predeceased by: his daughter Diana Whalen. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Whalen (Gilles); and his daughters, Linda Okamura (Gordon), Sharon Whalen, Janice Hochstetler (Daniel) and Mary Ann Whalen (Greg). He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and 2 siblings.
