He was predeceased by: his parents, John Bertrand and Elizabeth Tisserand; his brother Dr. J. B. Tisserand; his brothers-in-law, Dr. Thomas Burger, George Ryan and Dr. Gerald Luebbe; and his sister Sarah Luebbe.

He is survived by: his sisters, Marian Burger of Las Vegas, NV and Martha Ryan of Albany, NY; and his sister-in-law Joanne Tisserand. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
