She was predeceased by: her parents, Abel Valdez and Serida Valdez (Maestas); her husband Jackson Humphrey; and her siblings, Benjamin, Elias Valdez and Adelita Foster.

She is survived by: her daughter Valerie Jean Nance (Bruce) of Newburgh, IN; her granddaughters, Jane Johnson (Eric) of Newburgh, IN and Gwen Nance (Kevin Kennard) of Miramar, FL; and her great grandchildren, Eliza of Newburgh, IN and Ian Johnson of Newburgh, IN. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to Eastminster Presbyterian Church at 5501 Washington Avenue, Evansville, IN 47715.
