He is survived by: his wife Nannette of Newburgh, IN.; his children, Melinda West (David) of Evansville, IN. and John D. Garrett; his granddaughter Kambrie Garrett of Newburgh, IN.; his siblings, Emma Payne of Princeton, KY., Terri Spahr (Martin), Phyllis Taylor (Don), Ernest Garrett (Dallas) and Kenneth L. Garrett (Sandy); and his stepchildren, Vernon Sexton (Jacenda), Joshua Sexton (Devon) and Lita Sexton. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
