He was predeceased by: his parents, Bruce Mason and Ruby Mason (Garland); his wife Dorothy Cheek Ping; his son Tony D. Mason; his brother Marvin Mason; his daughter-in-law Debbie Mason; and his grandson John Matthew Roe.
He is survived by: his children, Keith W. Mason (Tammy) of Eagle Creek, Cynthia A. Ledbetter (Stephan) of Harrisburg and Debbie K. Wilson (Kent) of Evansville, Indiana; his stepchildren, Fred Ping (Donna) of Stonefort, Johnny Ping (Kathy) of Stonefort, Danny Ping (Jonnie Beth) of North Carolina, Mark Ping of Eldorado and Faye Ping (Dann) of Florida; and his daughter-in-law Tammy Mason of Cave-In. He is also survived by 31 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren, and 23 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Colonial Terrace Funeral Home & Crematory (700 4th St, Eldorado, IL 62930). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
