She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Henry and Virginia Leona Horn (Alfred); and her siblings, Joan Sneider, Beverly Merck and Kenneth Horn.
She is survived by: her children, Zane Melvin (Mike), Shannon Shumei Carter and Matthew Carter Baldridge (Sandra); her sisters, Suzanne King (Harry) and Virginia Leona James; her grandchildren, Rhiannon Carter, Mercedes Brown, Noah Melvin, Matthew Carter, Jr. and Marianna Carter; her great grandchild Lyris Henderson; her stepgrandchildren, Brian Melvin (Christine) and Chris Melvin (Amanda); and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Lyza Melvin, Lia Melvin, Lilly Melvin and Charlotte Melvin.
