It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Patricia Whelan of Newburgh, Indiana, born in Evansville, Indiana, who passed away on June 3, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank John and Irene Barbara Schymik (Kelso); her brother Frank Kelso Schymik; and her great grandchild Jeffrey. She is survived by: her husband James L. Whelan; her children, Susan James (Mark), Nancy Bates (Pirtle), Mary Crager (Marco), Martha "Muffy" Yando (Jeff) and Michael "Moby" Whelan; her sister Francille Burns; and her grandchildren, Michelle James, Cristie Crump, Tim Bates, Amanda Goedde, Andrew Heilman, Jessica Felker, McKenna Whelan and Brady Whelan. She is also survived by 16 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
