He was predeceased by: his wife Eleanor M. "Ellie" Brandl; his son Timothy; and his brother-in-law Smitty. He is survived by: his children, Amy Clifford (Bill), Lori Whittle (Don), Chris Brandl (Mary Beth) and Brian Brandl; his grandchildren, Olivia Helander, Nick Helander, John Whittle, Jacqueline Whittle, Ryan Brandl and Stephanie Brandl; and his siblings, Blanche Smith and Jerry Brandl.
