He is survived by: his wife Alice (Berninger); his daughters, Betsy (John Brayfield) of Valier, IL and Jenny Kelley (Tim) of Evansville, IN.; and his grandchildren, Alex (Jen Shepherd), Andy (Kassie), Nathan, Sarah and Ryan.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Cardinal Sports Medicine Society Ring of Honor Projects fund at Ball State University or a charity of your choice.
