He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Kerchief and Helen Kerchief; his niece Christina Joy Schindler; his grandparents, Walter and Meta Kerchief; his aunts and uncles, Gil Delgman, Herman and Frances Ruehman; and his cousins, Dennis Delgman of Evansville and Donna Kay Tolson of Evansville.

He is survived by: his sisters, Joy Carson (David) of Evansville, Naples and Christina Kerchief of Nashville, TN; his half-brother Doug Schmeing of Evansville; his stepbrothers, Hugh Stull of Mooresville, IN and John Stull; his aunt Edna Mae Delgman of Evansville; and his cousins, Don Delgman and Larry Ruehman.
