He is survived by: his sons, Larry Ray Burden (Cathy) and Keith E. Burden (Edward Hurley) of Newburgh, IN; his grandson Troy Matthew Burden; his great grandchildren, Devon Hughes, Trey Matthew Burden and Bradley Burden; his brother Rev. Chalmer Burden (Loveda); his niece Roberta Pflug; and his great-nephew James Pflug, Jr..
