He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles "Dewey" and Bessie Leona Pierce (Spangler); his brothers, Charles A. Pierce and Kenneth R. Pierce; and his sons-in-law, Harold Patton, Steve McIntosh and Gene Hall.

He is survived by: his wife Bernadine; his daughters, Janice Patton, Julie McIntosh and Gayle Hall; his grandchildren, Jeffery Miller (Jodi), Amanda Driol (Daniel) and Amie Roach (Chris); and his great grandchildren, Katlyn Holman Roach, Hudson Miller, Karlie Holman Roach, Addison Miller and Mason Driol. He is also survived by nieces; nephews; great nieces and nephews; and great great nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to Linda E. White Hospice House or American Legion Kapperman Post #44.
