He was predeceased by : his father John Scott Nay, Sr.; and his grandparents, Mike, Mary Nay, Donald and Eilene Stewart.

He is survived by : his mother Kay C. Stewart Nay; his children, Gabriel Allen (Jordan), Britney Nay and Kelsey Nay (Austin); his grandchildren, Jack, Luke, Delilah and Nora; and his sisters, Marcy Grinslade (Tom) and Leslie Buckner (Steve).
