He was predeceased by: his parents, Major Clarence W. Callahan and Mary B. Callahan (Meara); and his former wife Carolyn Callahan (Southard). He is survived by: his son Major Michael R. Callahan; his grandchildren, Catherine Cavignac (Jeffery Cavignac) of Charlottesville, Virginia, Seth Callahan, Peter Callahan of Portland and Keenan Callahan of Seattle, Washington; and his great grandchildren, Masters Jacob and Lucas Cavignac.
