She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Everett and Betty Justine Abel (Applegate); and her brothers, Maynard L. Abel, Neil E. Abel and David G. Abel.
She is survived by: her sons, Jason Rutherford (Kretia) of Oneida and Chad Rutherford of Noblesville; her siblings, Sheryl A. Moore (Bill) of Floyds Knob, Alan W. Abel (Joy) of Lafayette and Paul L. Abel (Isilda); her grandchildren, Alison, Zane, Madeline and Morgan; and her niece Terri Bodine (Abel).
