She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Coning and Mary Coning (Forney); her husband Leon Metzger; her sons, Todd and Brian Metzger; her siblings, Eloise Brubaker (Charlie), Evelyn Cook (Morris), Richard Coning (Ruth) and Herman Coning; and her siblings-in-law, Catherine Metzger, Billie, Esther Blocher, Max Metzger, Eldon Metzger, Delmer Metzger, Wilmer Metzger, Mark Metzger and Leona Acord.
She is survived by: her children, Roger E. Metzger (Christine), Eric A. Metzger (Rachel), Chris L. Metzger (Roxanna), Susan E. Bowman (Doug) and Nelda A. Metzger (Myron); and her siblings-in-law, Phyllis Brunk (Coning), Irene Metzger, Janet Metzger and Ernie Acord. She is also survived by twenty-six grandchildren; and 48 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McKee Mortuary (1401 W State Rd 114, North Manchester, IN 46962). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the North Manchester Old German Baptist Brethren Church (12508 IN-13, North Manchester, IN 46962).
