James E. Douglas Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 25, 2019, at the age of 88, James E. Douglas (North Vernon, Indiana), born in Washington, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Douglas and Lola Marie Evans Douglas; his wife Velta; his children, Steven Douglas, Ron Strong and Ruth Strong; his siblings, Bill Douglas, Lola Mae Roach and Vivian Douglas; his granddaughter Ruth Ann Strong; his great grandchild Michelle Kiewitt; and his son-in-law Gene Kimbler.
He is survived by: his daughter Connie Kimbler of North Vernon; his grandchildren, Steven Douglas Jr., Darla Peek, Lori Fields, Kristy Carpenter, Shane Kimbler, Troy Strong, Russell Strong, David Strong, Ronnie Jo Crosier, Sandy Collins and Wendy Betz; his daughter-in-law Lynn Turner; and his nephew David Blount (Annette). He is also survived by 24 great- grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Church of the Nazarene of Columbus in memory of James.
