Jewell Grider Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jewell Grider of North Vernon, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 17, 2025 at the age of 86. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Jewell Grider to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, George Wesley and Hallie Lee Bryant (Lamb); her husband Maurice Grider; her daughter Lois Ann Etienne; her stepson Larry Grider; her stepdaughters-in-law, Josephine and Charlene Grider; and her siblings, Martha Alline Stewart, George, Kenneth Earl and Russell Bryant.

She is survived by: her children, Charles "Chuck" Etienne Sr. (Annie) of Butlerville, Wesley Scott Crane (Rachael) of North Vernon and Lorrie Lee Campbell (Bill) of Commiskey; her stepsons, Joe Grider of North Vernon and Bill Grider (Wilma) of North Vernon; her brother Jim Lamb (Betty) of North Vernon; her sister-in-law Betty Jo Bryant of North Vernon; and her grandchildren, Charles Etienne Jr. of Clarksville, Bridgett Landfried (Robbie) of Abilene, Jessie Etienne (Jennie) of Commiskey, Robert Grider (Monica) of North Vernon, Chris Grider (Jenny) of North Vernon and Marie Grider of North Vernon. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
