It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Martha Kays of Oakland City, Indiana, who passed away on December 5, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Verner Gray and Susan Gray (Powell); her husband Charles Thomas Kays Jr.; her siblings, James "Jim" Gray, Geraldine Myers (Wayne) and Mary Jane Ulmet (Kenneth); and her siblings-in-law, Martha Gray, Rose Gray and Frederick Hanebutt.
She is survived by: her son Paul Kays (Janice); her grandchildren, Grace Kays and William Kays; her siblings, William Gray, Robert Gray, John Gray (Mary) and Kathleen Hanebutt; and her sister-in-law Mary Gray. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Corn-Colvin Funeral Home (323 N Main St, Oakland City, IN 47660). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 at the Forsythe Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Pike Animal Welfare Society (Paws) animal shelter in Petersburg, IN.
