He was predeceased by: his wife Bonnie Lou Stringer; his sister Irene Koontz; and his daughter-in-law Renee Reathaford. He is survived by: his sister Mahala Kinser of Bloomington, IN; his children, Linda Scarlett (Jim) of Orangeville, IN, Vivian Rogers of Ormond Beach, FL and Michael Reathaford of Orleans, IN; his grandchildren, Chris Scarlett, Josh Reathaford, Jordon McPhearson, Cody Reathaford (Keisha), Kristen Rogers and Brittany Cropley (Dale); his great grandchildren, Katie, Allie Scarlett, Jayden, Brinlee, Chase, Gage McPhearson, Isla and Indi Reathaford; and his great great grandchild Lyla Holdcroft. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Ochs-Tetrick Funeral Home (187 E Jefferson St, Orleans, IN 47452). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Orleans Church of the Nazarene (263 N Roosevelt Rd, Orleans, IN 47452). A burial will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at the Fairview Cemetery (680 W Jefferson St, Orleans, IN 47452).
Memorial contributions may be made to the Orleans Elementary School for underprivileged kids.
