He was predeceased by: his wife Joan M. Lard; and his daughters, Sharon Yoder, Donna Qualls and Deborah Myrick. He is survived by: his daughters, Cathern Qualls of Elkhart and Cynthia Lawrence of Tennessee. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren; 8 siblings; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
